PAVS – Feel Good February…
This month we have had some amazing moments. Our colleagues at PAVS have shared their own top moment of February…
Our CEO Jess described: “It was immensely gratifying to receive such positive feedback from the Board of Social Care Wales following their visit to PAVS – they remarked that they wished they could ‘bottle the strength of the partnership between the Health Board, PCC and third sector and replicate it across Wales’. They were also impressed by our passion and commitment to working in the community, through our innovative collaboration. It gave us a real boost to receive such lovely recognition!”
Our Funding Support Officer Rachel loved “seeing all the great work that groups have achieved with their funding.” While Maudie our Business Operations Manager said it was “seeing the amazing ways in which PAVS staff bring our values to life in the work they do.”
Mark, our Engagement and Co-production Officer said it was: “Seeing my colleagues producing their wonderful One Page Profiles!” The One Page Profiles have proved to be an invaluable way for us to get to know and better understand one another. Enabling team members to express themselves and detail on one page what they feel comfortable sharing with their PAVS Team. A big thank you to Mark for guiding and inspiring us to complete these!
Community Connector Sarah was excited to share a fresh update on a project she began in January: “It has just been the Graduation Day for our CWTCH Project in Gelliswick School – 16 families (56 people, adults and children) will graduate from the programme complete with party tea and home made mortar boards in a celebration of community learning and strengthening their networks and resilience. The project strengthened the network between parents, school and community – training 4 parent partners, 2 community partners, 4 school partners and Springboard staff to deliver the programme over 4 consecutive weeks”.
While our Social Enterprise Development Officer Steff reflected: “My best moment in February was working with 5 organisations to finalise their social value reports. Every time I work with an organisation on recording their social value, I see in depth the amount of positive impact they have within Pembrokeshire. This reminds me that although financial constraints are tight at the moment, there are still so many passionate and kind people working to make peoples lives better, which is why we all do what we do in this sector”.
Steff added…”My second best moment – seeing all the daffodils and snowdrops popping up – Spring is on the way!”
