Third Sector Health & Wellbeing Networks
The Third Sector Health & Wellbeing team at PAVS facilitates 8 Networks for Pembrokeshire through a variety of approaches including regular face to face or online meetings, information bulletins and email updates to specific mailing lists.

Pembrokeshire Community Buildings Network
Pembrokeshire has a wealth of community halls and buildings which act as a hub for many aspects of rural community life. The Community Buildings Network is designed to be an opportunity for networking with other halls and to share experiences. Meetings & events are an opportunity for communities to hear from Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) to find out what funding is available and how to promote their hall to attract new users and volunteers.

Pembrokeshire Women’s Health and Wellbeing Network
Established in November 2024, this network offers a dedicated space for discussing and addressing specific health concerns, promoting awareness, and advocating for better health and well-being services for women and girls.
Open to all organisations and groups that currently provide or wish to provide services that support women in Pembrokeshire, it also focuses on providing opportunities for collaboration, sharing resources and best practices.

Pembrokeshire Carer’s Provider Forum
Established in September 2020, an independent Forum of organisations providing, or wishing to provide, services to unpaid Carers of all ages in Pembrokeshire. The Forum exists to unite members to make an effective contribution to the planning and delivery of services for unpaid Carers of all ages in Pembrokeshire.
This Forum feeds into, and receives information from the Pembrokeshire Carers Strategy Partnership Board and West Wales Carers Development Group. The forum membership includes carers, Carers Trust Crossroads West Wales, Carers Support Pembrokeshire, carers groups, the Health Board Investors in Carers lead as well a national organisations the All Wales Forum for Parent Carers and Carers Wales.

Pembrokeshire Older People’s Network
Established in August 2020, the Pembrokeshire Older People’s Network is a welcoming group for anyone interested in services for older individuals in Pembrokeshire.
The network exists to represent member interests and to provide a way to share knowledge and information with all older people across Pembrokeshire and make an effective contribution to the planning of health and social care services. Many organisations in Pembrokeshire attend the network, as do members of the Pembrokeshire 50+ forum and a representative from the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales’s office.

Pembrokeshire Day Opportunities Provider Forum
Re-established in August 2020, the Pembrokeshire Day Opportunities Provider Forum membership consists of day service providers, staff from the Pembrokeshire County Council Commissioning team and training, Health Board representatives, and user representatives.
The network aims to share experiences, expertise, and best practices. It provides opportunities for partnership and collaboration. Additionally, it facilitates discussions between commissioners, providers, and other stakeholders regarding commissioning intentions and policy developments. The network also seeks to share potential opportunities for service diversification and development.

Pembrokeshire Bereavement Forum
Established in 2020, the Pembrokeshire Bereavement Forum is a dynamic multi-agency group dedicated to offering compassionate bereavement services for individuals of all ages in Pembrokeshire.
Open to all organisations and groups that offer or wish to offer bereavement services in Pembrokeshire, the forum welcomes representatives from the third sector, health services, and statutory agencies. The Forum aims to effectively contribute to the planning and delivery of bereavement services for the community.

Pembrokeshire Befriending Network
Established in 2020, The Pembrokeshire Befriending Network [the “PBN”] is a cross-sector alliance of groups and organisations providing befriending services in Pembrokeshire. The PBN exists to represent member interests and to make an effective contribution to the planning and delivery of befriending services in Pembrokeshire.

Pembrokeshire Children & Families Network
Established in early 2021, the network aims to provide a way to share knowledge and information with organisations and agencies working with children and families in Pembrokeshire.
Objectives
- To provide a link between network members and the relevant strategic planning groups
- To promote services for children and families in the County and share that information with colleagues and communities.
- To provide a cross-sector network for information exchange and the sharing and development of good practice
- To inform the planning of strategy
- To provide a unified county voice for the Network to raise common issues of concern, inform policy development and campaign on national issues
- To identify shared training and development needs
- Where appropriate, to identify and support groups to take forward new projects
- To support specific projects conducted under the auspices of the network

Pembrokeshire Arts & Health Network
In early 2020, SPAN Arts established a new Arts and Health network for Pembrokeshire to build on the growing body of evidence that shows that the arts can play a vital role in transforming communities, tackling loneliness and isolation and improving health and wellbeing. This network was established pre-COVID to find a better way to coordinate our efforts to raise the profile and impact of arts and health activity in Pembrokeshire.
Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire Mental Health Network
The forum provides a space for updates on member activities, a sharing of views around current relevant local, regional or national events, policies, and issues in relation to mental health, endeavouring to bring clarity and understanding, as well as provide opportunities to share learning and to encourage joint working. Attendees include people with lived experience, carers, third sector organisations including charities, voluntary and community groups, as well as Statutory Services, who work within Carmarthenshire and/or Pembrokeshire.

West Wales Nature-based Health Service Network
Members meet as a large open event, on Zoom, and at different outdoor sites/venues. Members are able to share about their organisation’s activities and services, and network with each other. The forum also opens opportunities to discuss upcoming training and funding opportunities. On occasions, external speakers are invited to deliver presentations to help educate and inform.

West Wales Armed Forces & Veterans Mental Health Network
Members include veterans, veteran champions, third sector organisations, Local Authority representatives including regional Armed Forces Liaison Officers, representatives from Statutory, Services, as well as regional and national veteran-specific organisations and charities.

MHAW – Mental Health Action Wales
This national network meets three times a year and is for local and regional Mental Health community organisations and charities. The aim is to encourage collaboration and shared practice between organisations. The Network will enable organisations to work together to improve mental health support across Wales. The Network will enable organisations to join together to work to influence national work by bringing together a range of local and regional perspectives and experiences.
The Network is jointly Chaired by West Wales Action for Mental Health (WWAMH) and Cardiff and the Vale Action for Mental Health (CAVAMH). If you would like to join the Network, contact Angie Darlington director@wwamh.org.uk

Office Hours
Our staff are now working in a hybrid way which means they may not be in the office, but working from other venues or home working. Due to changes in the way we now work, we are not holding meetings or running training events in person from our premises. However, if you wish to meet with a member of staff then please email them directly or call their business mobile number. The staff contact list is kept up to date with the most recent information.
If you do need to call at our premises, we are open from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.30pm on a Friday (except on Bank Holidays). Between 9am and 10am, and after 2pm, Monday to Thursday and all day Friday you may need to ring the bell (situated on the right hand side of the door). If you are just delivering mail, then please use the letter box on the front door.
