Meet the Team – Rachel Hagan

Rachel Hagan is this week’s ‘Meet the Team’, Rachel works in with the PAVS Development and Training team.

What’s a day in the life of a Funding Support Officer like?
We help groups to set up, give advice on what type of structure to set up as, and help them to gain funding to support what they do. We run training sessions for groups for them to gain knowledge and aid Trustees. I also use PAVS social media to promote the work we do.

Favourite place in Pembrokeshire to visit?
Broadhaven South Beach (it’s so lovely and like being abroad there!)

Is there a group or organisation in Pembrokeshire that you’re excited about right now?
I really value ASD Family Support Pembrokeshire. They are a much-needed charity in Pembrokeshire and I’ve had support from them personally, which was excellent. They run support groups for parents of children with ASD and offer training sessions to help you understand your child’s perspective.

Do you have any hobbies or interests?
I have two dogs and enjoy getting out for long walks with them. I love going to shows, the circus, and visiting new places.

What is the best thing about your job?
Getting to hear all the great ideas groups have planned for Pembrokeshire! … and of course, my team members!

Fun fact about you?
I have been Parasailing in Tunisia!
