The Giving Back Project comes to PAVS!
Where we work – the actual building and space – is as important to us as who we work for. Afterall, we spend a good number of hours a week there, so being comfortable and having a pleasant environment to work in makes a difference to our individual and team wellbeing. Sometimes though, getting appropriate office furniture can be costly and for charitable and voluntary organisations such things may be lower down the list when every penny is so valuable in supporting the work they do. The good news is good quality furniture is available and better still it’s free!
How can that be possible? What do you mean, free? Surely not….! Well it’s true, and to prove it, PAVS received a wonderful delivery of 25 office chairs this week from the amazing team at Crown Workspace. Liv Sheridan, Senior Sustainability Consultant explains, ” The Giving Back Project is the furniture and equipment donation scheme run by Crown Workspace, an organisation that’s core services are office moves and changes for corporate clients. Marrying both the needs of charities, schools and non-profit organisations across the UK, and the unnecessary waste of surplus furniture from corporate offices, the Giving Back Project works to redistribute furniture, equipment and IT to organisations in need. In 2024, the Giving Back Project facilitated the donation of over 6,000 items to organisations across the UK&I”.
The PAVS team are very grateful to Crown Workspace and the Giving Back Project for the donation of office chairs – at long last everyone has a properly adjustable chair to sit on, free from wobbles and squeaks! As you can see from the photos below, we were just a little bit excited to get new chairs, and a special mention to Ben and Mark from Crown Workspace for taking it all in their stride, and carrying quite a few chairs up several flights of stairs! We did give them both some PAVS and Pembrokeshire Community Hub goodies to take away to say thank you!
As Liv notes, “New charity partners are always welcome, and non-profit organisations, schools or social enterprises can register with the scheme here: https://forms.office.com/r/3FQYU0Ee0Q”.
