Pembrokeshire Community Buildings Forum heads to the Hills

On a beautiful Spring Day in May the Pembrokeshire Community Buildings Forum  headed to the beautiful Preseli mountains for their network  meeting at Canolfan Llwynihirion Brynberian. Set in glorious landscape , this recently renovated and well equipped community building was the perfect setting for the gathering of representatives from community buildings from across the county. Organised by PAVS and PLANED this provides the opportunity for information sharing and networking.

Participants were welcomed by Sophie Jenkins from Brynberian who shared the centre’s story and their future plans, as well as providing a tour of the facilities during the break. The speakers included the Mid & West Wales Fire Service covering fire safety requirements; Ty Pawb in St Davids who shared their journey so far ; the WCVA spoke about Social Investment Cymru   while the Unlocker & EGIN project highlighted support available for energy saving projects. The popular Open Forum provided the opportunity for halls to share news, opportunities and any issues they have .

Feedback from participants :

“ we are very grateful for the all the support and guidance offered”

“great to meet with other halls and share things”

The next Forum meeting will take place in the Autumn . If you would like to hear more about the network , or require support for your hall  or would like to join the Pembrokeshire Community Buildings Forum email development@pavs.org.uk
