Getting to know the PAVS Trustees… Jayne Tucker

This week we are getting to know PAVS Trustee Jayne Tucker. Jayne has been a Trustee since 2022, and has been instrumental in implementing a technological transformation here at PAVS.

Jayne, what do you love about being a Trustee at PAVS?

I’ve been a trustee at PAVS for just over 2 years.  Born and raised in Pembrokeshire, my favourite thing is feeling that, in a small way, I hope I can help PAVS with their ambition to support thriving communities and the voluntary sector across the County.

We recognise that being a trustee is a great responsibility…tell us one of your worries.

As the trustee with special responsibility for finance, my worries tend to be finance related, I want PAVS to be an organisation with sustainable income and good financial resilience to weather whatever challenges may come its way.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I come from a farming family, when I grew up I wanted a job indoors out of the bad weather.  Having achieved that, I find my greatest enjoyment now comes from being outside walking with the dog whenever possible (although we still both try to avoid the rain!).

One word that sums up PAVS:

Community

Thanks Jayne! A big thank you to each of our Trustees at PAVS. You are all so valued and your work is greatly appreciated by the whole team at PAVS, and by our community here in Pembrokeshire.

If you’ve been inspired by this article, and you’d like to find out more about how to become a Trustee at PAVS or at another charity within Pembrokeshire, we would love to hear from you:  volunteering@pavs.org.uk
