This week we chatted to Sarah Pavs<\/a> about her role…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s a day in the life of a Community Connector for Children, Families and Young People like?<\/strong>
I work with families, individuals and communities to provide signposting, support, advice and information. I work with groups, organisations, projects and agencies to ensure that anything affecting children, families and young people in Pembrokeshire is kept firmly on the agenda. I facilitate the Pembrokeshire Children and Families Network and generally make it my role to know as much about what is going on in Pembrokeshire as I can!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cover all of Pembrokeshire \u2013 so I can be anywhere from one day to the next. Networking, forming connections and joining people up together is what I send my time doing. I also enjoy working and supporting on wider PAVS activities with my colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where is your favourite place in Pembrokeshire to visit?<\/strong>
Hmmmm. Impossible to have one. Probably Stackpole and the Preselis. And any sort of garden!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there a community group or organisation in Pembrokeshire that you\u2019re excited about right now?<\/strong>
I admire, and enjoy working with any organisation that is inclusive to all, any organisation that is working to improve the lives of people in the community, and organisations tackling the crises we are dealing with at the moment \u2013 the cost of living crisis and the rate of child poverty in Pembrokeshire are things that many organisations and volunteers are tackling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have any hobbies or interests?<\/strong>
My garden and my dogs keep me sane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the best thing about your job?<\/strong>
I get massive satisfaction from community activities, I love seeing people connect and make friends, and seeing people becoming less socially isolated. Being out and about in the community makes me happy. I also have fantastic colleagues and friends I have made through my job<\/p>\n\n\n\n
