Volunteers' Week 2011
Volunteers' Week is a national celebration of volunteers and volunteering which takes place from 1 – 7 June of each year.
Volunteers' Week plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute to the community, while inspiring others to get involved too.
During Volunteers’ Week there were a number of activities and events across the country, including a number of events throughout Pembrokeshire.
Volunteer Celebration Event and Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards 2011 Ceremony
This is the main event of National Volunteers Week was the celebration event held at the Pavilion at Withybush. The event gave volunteers an opportunity to browse stalls, have a complementary treatment, make a pop corn bird feeder and meet other volunteers from around Pembrokeshire.
After a buffet lunch the Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards 2011 ceremony took place. Below are a list of winners, and those who received Highly Commended and Commended certificates, along with some photos of the day. Congratulations to all those who won, and were nominated.
