Treats for Time Latest news

'5 Spa' Treat for CAB Volunteer Erica.
Erica Ward, a volunteer Gateway Assessor with Pembrokeshire Citizens Advice Bureau based at Pembroke Dock, recently enjoyed ‘A Peace of Spa’ day escape at the award winning St Brides Spa Hotel, Saundersfoot, courtesy of the PAVS ‘Treats for Time’ initiative sponsored by Milford Haven Port Authority.
Erica, who has been volunteering since April 2012 said “It was lovely being pampered and I would highly recommend the experience. I enjoy volunteering with Pembrokeshire CAB and it is nice to know that my giving of time is appreciated”
Managing Director of St Brides Spa Hotel Andrew Evans said “We are delighted to participate in this worthy scheme and took great pleasure in affording Erica her special treat”
PAVS volunteering coordinator Caroline White added “Charities rely upon volunteers like Erica, who give up their time and skills to help others. The ‘treats for time’ scheme is aimed at members of our community who complete 50 hours of voluntary service. We are grateful to Milford Haven Port Authority for their kind sponsorship and to the local businesses that have agreed to join us”.
Pembrokeshire CAB volunteer recruitment coordinator Peter Dickinson said “Erica richly deserves her treat; she freely gives her time to help us deliver a much needed service to the community. The PAVS scheme is an excellent initiative and we are very grateful to be able to facilitate the treat as a ‘thank you’ to our volunteers. St Brides Spa Hotel kindly agreed to participate and I would encourage all local businesses to offer similar support”
Pembrokeshire CAB is reliant upon volunteers and is currently actively recruiting for the roles of Trustee, Adviser, Gateway Assessor and the delivery of Financial Capability workshops. For further information telephone 01437 767936 or email recruitment@pembscab.org.uk
