The "How to..."
range of toolkits have been developed to be run alongside a facilitated
session. All toolkits are free of charge so if you would like a
copy please contact PAVS.
How
to...Develop a Fundraising Strategy is a new guide available
to any voluntary sector organisation that needs help putting together
a fundraising plan. To obtain your copy, please contact a member
of the PAVS Development Team who can help you to make best use of
the guide.
The How to...Develop
a Volunteering Initiative Guide has been devised to accompany
the workshop detailed below and is a useful tool which can be taken
away and used for future reference.
The one-day workshop looks
at the development of good practice in new and existing volunteering
initiatives. It provides information and advice on policies and
procedures which are relevant to running a professional volunteering
programme including:

Each section relates to
the different stages of volunteer management and highlights the
various issues involved with recruiting volunteers.

is to support the development of new volunteer mentor schemes and
also to help develop good practice in existing schemes. It contains
a range of information and resources designed for use by voluntary
sector organisations to help in setting up or developing a volunteer

the Outcomes of Informal Learning
The purpose of this guide
is to support voluntary organisations that provide informal learning
and development opportunities for staff, volunteers or clients to
measure and assess the achievement of learners and to develop and
share good practice.

to meet the needs of a range of voluntary sector organisations and

Action Centred Learning Packs
How to...Build on Your Skills
The "Build on Your Skills" pack has been devised to be used on its own or can be used as part of a facilitated session. Its purpose is to identity training needs within your organisation, either for individuals or the organisation as a whole. Then once you know what training is needed there are some hints and tips on how to organise a training course, and how to evaluate the course to make sure it was successful.
