The last Learning
Champions Event of the Learning in the Voluntary Sector Project
was held on 14th October in Letterston.
A number of Learning Champions
attended and received a "Valued Learning Champion" Certificate
to thank them for all their hard work over the years. Two "Star"
Learning Champion Awards were also presented to those who had demonstrated
extra commitment.
There are no events scheduled
for the remainder of this year, however, we are still keeping in
contact with everyone via the Learning Champions Online Community.
Pembrokeshire
Learning Champions Network
Learning Champions are
people who are active in their local community or group, enjoy learning
in all its forms, understand the benefits of learning, like meeting
other people and enjoy having a chat!
Learning Champions encourage
people to take part in learning, point people in the right direction
to find the training they need, act as a learning mentor to support
learners, and hopefully have fun—and enthuse others.
The Pembrokeshire Learning
Champions Network is a network of such people who come together
to learn something, catch up with what's new and meet socially to
share information.
Every Learning Champion
who joins the network is entitled to access free training and resources
through the Learning in the Voluntary Sector Training Project. Resources
include information on local training, where to get help and any
publications required.
Have a look at the Learning
Champions Handbook here.
If this sounds like you,
and you would like to join the network please contact Louise Walters
at PAVS.
