This page introduces the wide range of support that is available from
PAVS to support the work of voluntary and community groups. By following
the relevant links find out more about the areas that interest you.
All groups share the ongoing challenge of attracting sufficient funding
to help them do their work and this is often the reason why groups
first get in touch with us. As a consequence, PAVS has developed considerable
expertise in this field and aims to provide the most comprehensive,
up to date and accessible funding support service in the county.
Voluntary and community groups vary enormously in their size and scope
and have widely varying support needs at different stages in their
development. PAVS recognises this diversity and aims to provide appropriate
support at every stage, from the initial stages of setting
up a group, through to support with the development
of projects, policies and good practice
and even in some cases the winding up of organisations.
Underpinning most successful organisations is an understanding of
the importance of training.
Over the last few years PAVS has developed a good reputation in this
area and is committed to sustaining and developing this provision.
Equally important is keeping up with the pace of technology and making
the most of its potential. PAVS hosts an IT
development project which aims to do just this.
All support services are delivered by our friendly and knowledgeable
staff team. They can be accessed and delivered, by email, phone, in
person at our fully equipped and accessible resource centre in Haverfordwest
or at a mutually convenient outreach location in the county.
In addition PAVS can provide practical help with things like printing
and copying and other office services.
We are committed to ensuring that the support available for groups
is tailored to what is really needed. If you can’t see the support
your group needs please get in touch
to set up an informal discussion where we will explore the options
and, or signpost you to other support organisations which might be
