| The Pembrokeshire Carers Strategy
aims to bring about a better understanding of the role and
needs of carers. The strategy will underpin planning work
to deliver services that are responsive to the needs and wishes
of carers.
The Pembrokeshire Strategy
is built around 5 key priorities, in line with the Welsh Assembly
Government's strategy, which set out what it would do to improve
the quality of life for carers. The 5 priorities are:

Groups
- 14 Carers Support Groups have been allocated funding
upto £2,000 each
- 2 new groups have been developed
- 1 for mental health and 1 for MS
- 1 pilot project has been agreed for holiday breaks

- Each social work team will be able to access individual
