Carers
On Line Community - Carers Online in Pembrokeshire (COP)
Carers Online in Pembrokeshire
provides a support mechanism for carers. An online community is
a private area on the internet, only accessible to invited members,
who can meet in a 'virtual' safe environment.
Members can log in to the
community, or COP ( Carers Online
in Pembrokeshire) at times to suit themselves -
whether daytime or the middle of the night.
It is a place where discussions
can take place, messages and notices can be left for others, photos
of group activities can be posted along with a calendar of upcoming
events. There is also the opportunity to chat in real time to others
online or to arrange virtual meetings at times to suit members.
The only things you need
in order to join an online community are an email address and access
to a computer that has an internet connection. There are many places
where you can access the internet if you don't have a computer at
home, such as libraries, community centres and the Voluntary Sector
Resource Centre where the PAVS offices are based.
If you don't have an email address
and are not sure what one is or how to get one, PAVS 123-communicate
team can provide ad hoc group or individual workshops. In the workshop
you will learn how to set up an email account and how to send and
receive an email. Support is also available to show new members
how to log in to the community.
Existing members can click
here to access the
online community.
